JAGUAR

SHORT FILM - James Holden

When the Indian Government made an order for 160 Jaguar aircraft in 1978, they paid roughly $6,250,000 per aircraft; a total order of $1 Billion. This is close to $5 Billion today when adjusted for inflation. 120 of these aircraft are still operational in 2025.  Although India grows, improves and seemingly flourishes on the world stage, these fighter planes continue to fly high, with over 75 million people living below, in poverty. Militarism is held in a higher regard than basic living standards across much of the earth. India, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Russia, China, and many more, year after year, fund death and destruction. They spare little consideration for the sanctity of life or the improvement of the conscious experience. Could fighter plane engines, which reach phenomenal speeds, instead be used for the fast deployment of life saving medicine or medical equipment? Could they instead be used in disaster relief efforts? What resources which are now used up in the destruction of one another could instead be used for good?
